One of our HOG members (Diane London) is going to Haiti 3-21-10 and returning 3-31-10. She will be focusing her attention and energy on assisting both a Montessori School and a medical clinic, that were destroyed by the earthquake. She is planning to work with the children that do not have a classroom and do some activities that may assist with the trauma they experienced.
To assist her we are currently accepting donations of items we know they may need such as: personal care items, nonperishable food items including ramen noodles, peanut butter and canned chicken, medical supplies or tents, or money to buy tents.
Please drop off items at Harley-Davidson of Wausau.
Any items received by March 17 will either ship with London or ship at a later date.

My work with the American Red Cross and Hurricane Katrina, as well as the Wisconsin Nicaragua Partners, has given me the desire to reach out to those in a disaster such as Haiti. I am trained as a psychotherapist and have specialized in working with children and families with trauma. The blessings I receive as the result of my efforts are what motivates me - seeing the smiles, receiving the hugs, and the gratefulness of the people affected is amazing."
